The Bon Vivant

The Bon Vivant is a notorious vessel plying the trade routes, a pirate vessel belonging to the notorious Captain Johann Sharpe. While the Bon Vivant was a licensed privateer during the wars between the Father Kingdoms and the nation of Quedaris, its practice of praying on merchants from both lands has it hunted by the royal navies of both lands. The author had the dubious pleasure of being a 'guest' of the Bon Vivant for several months.

The Ship

The Bon Vivant is a sturdy and well made ship, the last work completed by master shipwright Alexi Connosan before he moved on from this world. It's a great galley, sleek and fast, capable of chasing down ships half its size and outgunning ships twice as big.

The Crew

While the ship's crew of 30 undergoes a high turnover rate, there are a few constants besides her captain.

Papa Nugenni, an old salt from Aoaxaca. He's a crazy old man, constantly chanting and seeing omens all over the place.

Elise the Red, Captain Sharpe's partner and first mate. She's as wild as the rest, able to keep the crew in line and drink any man under the table. Dominor Aeris only knows what she'll have them do once they're there.

Tom Tom, a large, burly ape of a man. I've seen him take musketballs to the face without so much as flinching. Privately I think he may be a golem.
