What’s your name?
Art, short for Artemis, Artemis Penn, my parents... were... still weird saying were, big fantasy nerds.
How did you survive until now?
Scavenging mostly, I don't know how to hunt or anything like that. There was a supermarket by my house that I looted a lot in the early days. Later I got into trading, but its really hard to trade with other kids, you know?
Have you been a member of the group for a long time and, if not, how did you join?
I was wandering with my shopping cart full of stuff, I had this solar charger thing I got from a guy who didn't even know what it was! Then all of a sudden this, well, adult stopped me. I thought they were all asleep, it really startled me, like, I started crying right there. They took me in, introduced me to the others. Said I had to be a pilot.
How do you feel about piloting an ANIMa?
It's terrifying, probably the scariest thing I've done. But, you know, it has to be done, somebody has to stop the Bliss from taking all of us when we get older.
Why are you a pilot?
I... used to have an older sister. She looked out for me, then, one day, she just went to sleep and never woke up, just like mom and dad. I fight for her, I fight for them.
