Alexander Warren MacArthur. But Alex will do.
How did you survive until now?
I don't really believe in luck, but when I look back on it, it's hard not to think that a certain amount of good fortune was involved. Considering I've been known to trip over my own feet and regularly stumble over words, that certain amount is probably a lot. The thing is though, when shit hits the fan, like really, really hits the fan, something inside me just clicks. I see ways and things, and whatever I decide to do or say usually works out kind of okay. Okay enough to not get me killed so far, at least.
Have you been a member of the group for a long time and, if not, how did you join?
I've been around here a long while. We've got a good thing going on, well, relatively speaking at least. This'll likely be the last outfit I get to run with, but you know, I'm kind of okay with that.
How did you become an Anchor?
I know you wouldn't think it of me to just look at me, but when there's a life on the line, especially when it's some little kid whose fighting for me, it turns out I'm pretty good at this. The least I can do is to fight for his sake in my own way.
Why are you an Anchor?
It's getting to the point where each day might be my last, I think. Most of the time I'll tell you I know my time is almost up and I'm okay with it; that I've had a good run. But the truth is that in the dark of night, in the quietest moments, doubt creeps in. I.. I don't really distinguish between the Bliss and death anymore. I don't know if I ever did in the first place. And I don't want to die.
