Background
After four years of "pacification duty" in what's left of Kurd-occupied Iraq, Vikram had enough and decided to do something with much better pay and a slightly better survival rate. While he was one of the better scouts in his unit -- "that slippery Hindu motherfucker" as his commander called him -- his generally foul temper and shitty attitude meant that nobody was too sad to see the ass end of him, general consensus being that he and the aliens deserved each other. Officially, he's joining X-Com because the alien threat transcends nationality; secretly, he's just pissed that they got to a major US city before he did.
