Tiefling (My Dearest Clarabelle)

Tieflings were among the first settlers to come to the new world. They fled to the colonies seeking religious freedom, searching out a place where they would be free from the temptations of society. Tieflings were once humans. Long ago the Kingpriest Tief made a dark pact with infernal beings, in exchange for the souls of his subjects he would be granted power beyond imagining. And so it was that the first Tieflings were created, their bodies twisted due to that dark pact. The Tieflings who first arrived in the Americas, and to this day, represent the majority of their population, were called The Puritans. The Puritans believe that by living by a strict and unerring moral and spiritual code they can, as a people, undo the forces that tempt and torture their souls as well as their physical forms.
