The Colonies

The Colonies is a near-future setting for EABA where Earth has been taken over by the French, who had allied themselves with some Aliens. The Aliens showed up after destroying an asteroid that was on a collision course with Earth, and then landing and staying quiet for a few decades. Before the arrival of the aliens, Humanity sent out vast Colony ships to the far reaches of space. Due to some fluke in the Space-Time Continuum in deep, deep space, those ships started sending people back sooner than anyone expected
