Rules lawyer

A rules lawyer has nothing better to do than learn all the rules of a system and try and exploit that knowledge to gain the upper hand in a game.

An example of a rules lawyer gambit would be arguing that since the Arcane Lock spell affects any "door, chest, or portal" by "magically locking it", then they should be able to "magically lock" the hypophyseal portal system - a series of blood vessels in the brain - and thus cause their target to suffer a fatal brain haemorrhage and die.

The appropriate response to rules lawyering is to bitchkill the player.
