When two adventurers love each other very much, it confers tangible bonuses upon their actions in and out of combat.

Background: Married

You are married to one of your fellow adventurers, hereafter referred to as your partner. You are devoted to your partner and the love you share allows you to do great things in concert.

Benefit: You can take marriage feats that rely upon your partner. Your partner cannot take these feats unless they also take this background.

Heroic Tier Marriage Feats

Conjugal Healing

Prerequisite: Married background
Benefit: If you are within 5 squares of your partner, and you spend a healing surge, you regain 5 extra hit points. This increases to 10 extra hit points at 11th level, and 15 extra hit points at 21st level.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Flanking Matrimony

Prerequisite: Married background
Benefit: If you are flanking an enemy with your partner, both you and your partner gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls against the flanked enemy.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

For Better Or Worse

Prerequisite: Married background
Benefit: If you are within 5 squares of your partner, your partner gains a +2 bonus to saving throws.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Hope to Impress

Prerequisite: Married background
Benefit: When you are within 5 squares of your partner, you deal 1d6 extra damage with your attacks. If your partner also has this feat, this increases to 1d8 extra damage. This increases to 2d6 extra damage at 21st level, or 2d8 extra damage if your partner also has this feat.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Protective Fury

Prerequisite: Married background
Benefit: If your partner is hit by an enemy, you gain combat advantage against that enemy until the end of your next turn.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Sacrament of Marriage

Prerequisite: Married background, any divine class
Benefit: If you are within 10 squares of your partner, and your partner is bloodied for the first time during the encounter, you regain the use of channel divinity for that encounter.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Tie That Binds

Prerequisite: Married background, any martial or primal class
Benefit: If you are within 10 squares of your partner, and your partner is bloodied for the first time during the encounter, your next attack roll is considered a critical hit.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Vicious Wedlock

Prerequisite: Married background, any martial or primal class
Benefit: If you hit with an encounter or daily power, and your partner is adjacent to the target, your partner can make a basic melee attack against the target as a free action.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Wedded Confidence

Prerequisite: Married background
Benefit: If you are within 5 squares of your partner, you and your partner both gain a +2 bonus to all Bluff, Diplomacy and Intimidate checks.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Wedding Spells

Prerequisite: Married background, any arcane class
Benefit: You may use your partner as the origin square for an arcane attack power. You may gain this benefit once per encounter.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.

Paragon Tier Marriage Feats

Two Hearts as One

Prerequisite: 11th level, Married background
Benefit: If you are within 5 squares of your partner, and you spend a healing surge, your partner gains hit points equal to your healing surge value.
Special: You may only have one partner for the purposes of this feat.
