Background

Jung Hyeonjun received his training in the South Korean army. He had a brief stint in the elite paratrooper division, before a bout of severe tendonitis, jumper's knee, had him pulled off the team and serving as assistant desk jockey. Needless to say, this wasn't quite what Jung had had in mind when he joined the army. Though his knee eventually got better, he found that his medical history made him a liability, and that he would not get the opportunity to serve as a paratrooper again, even with a full recovery. Convinced that he was being unfairly treated, Hyeonjun decided to quit the South Korean army, accepting an offer from the #1 hirer of dissatisfied military personnel: X-Com.
