Background
Hiroki Nishikoori was always better at athletics than he was at academics, but when his bid to play professional J-League soccer fell through, he was left without much in the way of marketable skills. Joining the JSDF, Hiroki's speed and agile feet earned him the nickname "Two-Step" amongst his fellow recruits. Trained in scouting and in man-portable drone ops, and with a reasonable command of English, Hiroki was among those selected from within the JSDF to participate in the internationally funded X-Com project once the alien menace was revealed.
