Clancy Havord

Clancy Havord is the defacto "Lawmaster" of Gypsum. Unable to obtain the title of sheriff mainly due to the fact that Gypsum hasn't had elections in 4 years, Clancy Havord serves as frontier administrator of local law. A position, it is rumored, that he uses to further his own ends.

If you were to ask the majority of the people of Gypsum what kind of man Clancy Havord is you'd likely hear words like "stalwart", or "straight shooter", in a more rough and tumble part of town you might even hear him described as "A real shitkicker". It is worth mentioning that Gypsum is predominantly human.

If you were to ask some of the other inhabitants, the non-human population, you would likely hear a different story.

The majority of the Dwarven population sees Havord as a crooked and impotent law-enforcer. Crime and poverty run rampant through much of the Dwarven community but Havord seems to care little for thier plight, turning a blind eye to the commonplace problems of extortion and racketeering.

When Havord and his men do enforce the law they do so brutally and publicly, giving the impression that he's "tough on crime" and that while the "shorties" might have problems on their side of town the majority population can sleep safe with Havord in charge.
