Background

After going through an ROTC program at RIT, the Rochester Institute of Technology, Brian was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Corps of Engineers. His parents didn't approve, seeing it as a waste of his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, but Brian knew that it was his duty to serve his country. Having deployed to Syria as a Combat Engineer, Brian is no stranger to the many dangers of the battlefield.

However, it was during a rotation back to the States when news of the alien invasion broke. Brian served the remaining years of his commitment to the Corps of Engineers, hoping that he would eventually be deployed in some capacity against the aliens. However, after years of mostly working on infrastructure projects in the Northeast, work that was ultimately necessary but not all that glamorous, Brian decided to put in his papers and took his skills to the agency that would be taking the fight to the invaders.
