Each character starts off by choosing three of the nine attributes, that best exemplify that character's best areas, whether through their natural capacity, hard training, or otherwise. Each attribute provides a special bonus, and can "unlock" or "boost" particular class-related abilities.

Bravado

A character's bravado is their devil-may-care attitude, self-esteem, and general assuredness in the fact of danger.

An archetype that has bravado is the rogue with the heart of gold.

Characters with bravado get a +5 bonus to skill checks when under Fear or Stress conditions, and deal double damage dice against the cause of their Fear.

Brutality

A character's brutality is their capacity to unleash and use raw power, whether physical or not, to achieve their goals.

An archetype that has brutality is the one-man wrecking machine.

Characters with brutality deal double damage against minions, mooks, and inanimate objects.

Cunning

A character's cunning is their quickness of mind, strategic capability, and wit.

An archetype that has cunning is the brains behind the operation.

Characters with cunning always go first in combat or challenges, unless surprised, and can cause a target to grant combat advantage to them with a minor action.

Expertise

A character's expertise is their aptitude as a result of training, education, or life experience.

An archetype that has expertise is the world-weary veteran.

Characters with expertise can use an irrelevant background for a skill check, at half the bonus. They can also negate one minus point per trial.

Finesse

A character's finesse is their physical grace and agility, flexibility, and flair.

An archetype that has finesse is the dashing swashbuckler.

Characters with finesse ignore up to 10 points of armor on enemies.

Presence

A character's presence is their unspoken charisma, their imposing aura, that affects others around them.

An archetype that has presence is the intimidating silent type.

Characters with presence increase the Cowardice of nearby enemies by 10. They also provide a +3 bonus to social checks for themselves and all nearby allies that cannot stack.

Resolve

A character's resolve is their inner fire, their conviction in ideals and concepts, their faith and general strength of will.

An archetype that has resolve is the gutsy young revolutionary.

Characters with resolve provide resistance to Corruption for themselves and all nearby allies. In addition, all nearby allies regain 1 hit point at the start of their turn.

Tenacity

A character's tenacity is their durability under stress and hardship, to keep going despite physical and mental damage, to soldier on to their last breath.

An archetype that has tenacity is the action movie hero.

Characters with tenacity gain 2 points of Armor after recovering from a severe or life-threatening wound that lasts until their next wound.

Wisdom

A character's wisdom is their intellect and common sense, the ability to solve conundrums and arguments with logic.
