Class Features

Fleeting Shadow

You find it easier to dodge and parry when your movements aren't restricted. While you are wearing light armor and aren't using a shield, you gain a +2 bonus to AC.

Guild Training

Assassins gain their abilities by following a training regimen developed by a particular guild. Even an assassin taught by an individual master studies a set of teachings that were once developed by a guild.

Hidden Palm: When you hit an unbloodied target, you gain 5 temporary hit points.
Twilight Society: You gain a +5 bonus to damage rolls against any target that is adjacent to none of your enemies.
Viper House: You gain an extra assassin poison formula of your level or lower at 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th, and 10th level.

Poisoner

You learn the formulas for two 1st-level assassin poisons of your choice. During an extended rest, you can prepare one vial of a poison of your level or lower. You must know the poison's formula and have an apothecary's kit. The vial contains a single use of the poison.

You are immune to all poisons you know the formula to.

At 3rd, 5th, 8th, and 10th level, you learn an additional formula for an assassin poison of your level or lower.

Sneak Attack

When you make a melee or ranged attack and hit an enemy granting combat advantage to you, that enemy takes 2d6 extra damage. You can deal this extra damage only once per turn.

Choking Strangle Assassin Attack
You slip out of the shadows and surprise your enemy, cutting off their cries for assistance.

Standard Action Melee weapon
Target: One creature you are hidden from
Attack: Finesse vs. Reflex
Hit: 2[W] + Finesse damage, and the target is grabbed until the end of your next turn. While the grab persists, the target takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls against you and cannot speak, and you cannot make other attacks.
Sustain Standard: The grab persists, and the target takes 2[W] + Finesse damage.
Special: If you are wielding a garrotte, you deal an additional 1[W] damage.

 

Dodge Lure Assassin Utility
You narrowly sidestep an attack, causing your enemy to try and move into a better position to hit you.

Hit: The target makes a basic attack against the nearest creature it can see, not including you. Any pick pocket attempts made against the target before the end of their next turn get a +10 bonus.
 
Pinning Shot Assassin Attack
You trap your target with a bolt or arrow that pins them to the wall.

Requirement: You must be wielding a crossbow or bow.

Hit: The target is restrained until the start of your next turn.
 
Silencing Strike Assassin Attack
A precision blow to the throat will stop a guard from calling out in alarm, allowing you to finish the job.

Smokebomb Assassin Utility
You throw a sealed bottle at the ground, and disappear into the thick black smoke it produces.

Effect: The burst creates a zone that lasts until the start of your next turn. To creatures other than you, the zone is totally obscured and blocks line of sight.
Special: You can use this power only once per round.

Encounter

Breaking Through Assassin Attack
Slipping in and around the throng of enemies, you push through to your intended target.

Effect: You shift up to your speed, and can enter enemies' spaces. You must end in an unoccupied space. After each square you shift, you can make a melee basic attack against an adjacent enemy. You get a +5 power bonus to the next attack roll you make.
 
Caltrop Scatter Assassin Attack
You scatter a small handful of spikes over the floor, causing chaos.

Standard Action Close blast 3
Effect: The burst creates a zone of caltrops that fills the area until the end of the encounter. The zone is considered difficult terrain. Any creature that ends its move in the zone takes a secondary attack.
      Secondary Target: The triggering creature.
      Secondary Attack: +8 vs. Reflex.
      Hit: The target is slowed until the end of its next turn.

 

Cat's Eyes Assassin Utility
Your eyes pierce the gloom, straining to see the important details.

Disappearing Act Assassin Utility
When the fighting starts, you're nowhere to be found - not yet.

Trigger: You roll initiative.
Effect: You make a Stealth check with a +3 bonus to hide from every creature that can see you, regardless of cover or concealment.
 
Grim Determination Assassin Utility
The completion of your goal gives you a rush of adrenaline and vigor.

Effect: The first time you reduce a non-minion enemy to 0 hit points in an encounter, you can spend a healing surge.
 
Inescapable Shadow Assassin Utility
Your deft speed and skill allow you to move around combat effortlessly.

Effect: You enter the inescapable shadow stance. Until the stance ends, you can shift 1 square as a minor action.
 
Lurking Shadow Assassin Utility
You retreat into the shadows, allowing you to spy on your enemies without fear of discovery.

Standard Action Personal
Requirement: You must be in dim light or darkness.
Effect: You become invisible and silent until the end of your next turn, until you move more than 2 squares on your turn, or until you enter a square of bright light. If a creature tries to enter your space before the effect ends, you can either shift 1 square as a free action or remain where you are. If you remain where you are, the effect ends.
Sustain Standard: The effect persists.

Hornet Juice Level 1
This silvery liquid burns in the veins.

The venom of the cobra will rob its victims of sight.

  First Failed Saving Throw: The penalty to Perception increases to -10.
  Second Failed Saving Throw: The creature instead is blinded (save ends).
Power (Consumable ✦ Poison): Minor Action. You pour the poison into a drink or onto a plate of food. The first creature to consume the food or drink is blinded until the end of its next short rest.

 

Fungus Extract Level 3
This dull grey liquid provides torturous waking nightmares.
